Regency® Spiral Point Hand Tap

• Spiral point design has a left hand flute at the point, which provides a positive rake and drives the chip ahead of the tap
• Shorter overall thread length minimizes drag after the first full thread
• Reduced neck provides clearance to prevent breakage and allows room for lubrication to reach cutting edge
• Precision-ground thread design performs better in controlled machine set-ups and tougher off-hand maintenance applications
• Three flutes stabilize starting direction, which facilitates tapping straight holes
• Manufactured from high-speed steel
• Recommended for through holes in most materials
• Designed for tapping on machining centers
NOTE: Item No. 61106 through 61111 do not have reduced neck or threads.
CAUTION: Any cutting tool may break or shatter under improper use. Government regulations require use of safety glasses and other appropriate safety equipment at all times in the vicinity of use.
